Camp PLAY Facilities

Camp PLAY will take place in and around the Warner Center and Doremus Gymnasium at Washington and Lee University. We will begin each day with an all-camp warm-up in historic Doremus Gymnasium and the Warner Center.


We will also utilize the both gyms to play games, such as four square, pickle, scooter tag, team handball, and indoor hockey in order to promote teamwork and coordination.

The racketball and squash courts on the first floor of the gym complex will be used for games like racketball, wallyball, jump-rope, dodgeball, agility skills sessions, and footwork drills.

We are fortunate to have use of the state-of-the art dance studio located in the Warner Center. We will focus on activities that teach the children about stretching, promote balance, strengthen the core, and improve coordination.

Our outdoor activities and games will take place on Cannan Green, located outside Doremus Gym. We will play games such as kickball, red rover, bocce, croquet, frisbee, and parachutes.


The aquatics program will take place in the Cy Twombly Pool, located on the first floor of the Warner Center. Programming will accomodate all skill levels. Joel Shinofield and Kami Gardner will oversee the aquatics programming for Camp PLAY.
